Waking Circles - a personal journey
The work I do at Waking Circles is deeply rooted in my personal journey—a journey that continues to unfold. Born in Cuba, I moved to a new country at the age of 11, an experience marked by both the grief of leaving behind my home and family and the excitement of new opportunities. Along the way, I struggled with feelings of self-hatred, body shame, self-criticism, anxiety, overthinking, and the weight of grief.
For years, I had difficulties balancing my spiritual beliefs and the widely accepted, science-based methods for addressing psychological and emotional pain. This led me to neglect and shut down what I knew deep down was true, due to fear, a need for belonging and holding credibility in this world, "doing it the right way".
After enduring several profound losses, I found my way back to spirituality through the teachings of the Medicine Wheel. It was this ancient wisdom that guided me home to myself, helping me rediscover hope.
Hitting rock bottom was an experience that forced me to confront the endless cycles of discomfort and neglect l found myself in. Most of us are merely enduring our struggles without truly moving forward, trapped in patterns that keep us stuck. Waking Circles is about breaking free from that stagnation. It’s about awakening to the medicine and wisdom that resides within each of us.
Waking Circles has emerged from this personal journey. It is built upon the studies and applications of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, traditional Shadow Work, and practices rooted in animism and the honouring ancestral wisdom.
This work has deepened my connection to myself and to the world around me. It helped me find my way when I felt lost, teaching me true self-love ad self-acceptance through the remembering I am deeply connected to Mother Earth. I have met beautiful individuals which without, this work wouldn't be possible, to them, I am endlessly thankful and in awe of their resilience and devotion to the medicine.
In this journey of life, I am committed to healing ancestral wounds, celebrating my heritage, and honouring the wisdom of those who came before me—for those who are yet to come. My purpose is to honour and nurture the medicine of life that exists in all of us.

My approach
I believe that spirit lives in all, all things carry medicine, all things carry shadow, all contained in the circle of life we are a part of.
We live under the illusion of disconnection and separation, from spirit and all living things, from one another, from ourselves. This disconnection can feel so devastating and isolating. The more we neglect, avoid or supress parts of ourselves and our experience, the deeper that void feels.
What we must all learn is that, even in the void, we are contained, held, never alone. This knowledge will help you reconnect with yourself, but you must feel it within you. How you experience that will be unique to you, that is your medicine, your experience.
I am here to be a mirror, helping you to reflect on your own path. I believe in you, you have everything you need right now, to do so.
I offer deep, intentional presence, a witness to your pain, joy, past experiences, and unfolding future. I am here to support you in becoming, in remembering who you truly are.

Who this work is for
I am dedicated to supporting individuals facing a range of challenges. If you find yourself feeling lost, struggling with self-hate and constant self-criticism, experiencing persistent feelings of sadness, grieving, disconnected from your inner self, stuck in life, or caught in repetitive relational patterns, this work can support you in finding your back home.
